Areas covered:

The Clyde area is defined as: South Lanarkshire, North Lanarkshire, City of Glasgow, East Renfrewshire, Renfrewshire, Inverclyde, East Dunbartonshire, West Dunbartonshire, Stirlingshire (Clyde/Loch Lomond drainage areas, the Campsie Fells, and Carron Valley Reservoir), Argyll & Bute (former Dunbartonshire part, i.e. Loch Lomond/Clyde drainage including east side of Loch Long to Arrochar (then Loin Water as boundary).

Local recorder for the area:

Email: clyderecorder@the-soc.org.uk

Recorder - John Simpson

Assistant local recorder for the area:

Assistant  Recorders - Val Wilson and John Sweeney

Record submission:

The Recorders will be happy to receive bird records at any time during the course of the year. The preferred option would be to use BirdTrack, the online bird recording system, operated by the BTO, the RSPB, Birdwatch Ireland and the SOC. All you need to do to get started is sign up as a BirdTrack user and register the sites where you birdwatch. Your records will automatically be made available for the production of Clyde Birds (provided you permit the local recorder to access them), for wider bird conservation issues and to track migration and distribution patterns.
